The world of Impact Photographic Design

My name is Bruce Allen Hendricks MPA, F.Ph. CPP and I am the owner/principal photographer of Impact Photographic Design.  My work is primarily based around people photography – from children to families to weddings to promotional images for business people….with a little commercial and industrial photography also thrown in the mix.   As well, it’s always been my opinion that “pets are people too” and as such I’ve developed a pretty strong following because of my unique animal portraits.

I own the distinction of being the youngest Manitoban in history to be awarded the title of Masters of Photographic Arts (MPA) from the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC). I was also the first Manitoban Photographer (4th in Canada) ever to be Certified by the Professional Photographic Certification Committee (PPCC) an international non- profit group dedicated to raising quality levels of photographers in this industry. As I believe there are too many unethical people in this industry who have little or no skill but take advantage of the buying public I have become one of a handful of Canadians who are able to give others the Certification exam in an attempt to strengthen the industry and route out the unskilled/unethical photographers who are hurting the buying public.  

In my continuing desire to be more creative and produce better images for my clients, I’ve been honoured with several industry degrees as well as a long list of other awards and accomplishments for my work.  All of which has led me to be to produce workshops/seminars/programs for other photographers, write numerous article for publications both inside and out of the industry as well as judge professional photographic competitions across the country.   If you are interested you can find a complete list of my awards/degrees, etc on my main website. 

Besides being a photographer, I’m also an animal lover and have two cats that let me hang out with them (Oscar and Boots).  You’ll also find I have a pretty unique sense of humour as will be demonstrated throughout this blog as well as my Facebook page (Wanna be Friends?).  I’m a curler, a Blue Bomber fan, a movie buff, am near sighted (no blind photographer jokes!) and am scared of spiders!  Alright, I’m not thrilled with snakes either.
